WYE OAK
Wye Oak at Dumpford Manor Farm is owned by Bob and Chrissie Mayhew who bought the property as an old farmyard and barn and converted it into their dream home with all of the facilities that they needed for the horses. Needless to say the stabling was completed before the house!
Bob and Chrissie live in the converted barn with their two ‘child substitutes’, (otherwise known as border terriers) and the real dogs, Chrissie’s Chesapeake bay Retrievers live in the house and yard where they are on constant guard or warning duty!
LESSONS
Although we no longer have a lesson horse for hire, both Bob and Michael are able to give you lessons on your own horse, in whichever discipline you prefer. Please contact us for availability and current prices. Remember, at Wye Oak, we never lose a day because of bad weather. Full trail course practical, pleasure, reining, or horsemanship, let us know your requirements.
CLINICS
Clinics are a way to join in with other like-minded folk and all ride together. Bob gives clinics in the UK (see WES-UK website) and abroad. Michael gives UK clinics. We can arrange clinics at Wye Oak. Please contact us for prices and dates.
DEMONSTRATIONS
We are often asked to give demonstrations of Western Riding from Pony Clubs to the British Equine Event, we are happy to show off our horses and our favourite way of training and riding. Prices on application.
